´It was narrated from Wahb bin Khanbash that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said:` “ ‘Umrah during Ramadan is equivalent to Hajj (i.e. in reward).”

Benefits and Issues: ➊ In the month of Ramadan, the reward for every deed increases. In the same way, the reward for performing umrah also increases and becomes equal to that of hajj.
➋ If one gets the opportunity in the month of Ramadan, one should definitely perform umrah.
➌ This umrah is equal to hajj in terms of reward. However, it is not a substitute for the obligatory hajj. The person upon whom hajj is obligatory must perform hajj itself; the obligation of hajj is not fulfilled by performing umrah in Ramadan.
