Sayyiduna Nu’man bin Bashir (may Allah be pleased with him) said from the pulpit: I heard the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) say: “The lawful is clear, the unlawful is also clear, and between them are some doubtful matters. So whoever leaves that which he suspects to be sinful, he will all the more leave that which is clearly sinful. And whoever dares to engage in doubtful matters, there is a possibility that he will eventually fall into the unlawful. Every king has a sanctuary, and the sanctuary of Allah on earth is that which He has declared sinful.”
