Hadith 937
937 - قَالَ سُفْيَانُ: «هُوَ عِنْدَنَا أَنْ يُبَاعَ فِي مَوْضِعِهِ الَّذِي أَخْرَجَهُ اللَّهُ فِيهِ» ، وَقَدْ رُوِيَ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّي اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنَّهُ: «نَهَي عَنْ بَيْعِ نَقْعِ الْبِيرِ»
Sufyan says: In our view, this refers to the water that is sold at the very place from where Allah Almighty has brought it forth. It has also been narrated from the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him): He (peace be upon him) forbade the selling of surplus water.
