903 - حَدَّثَنَا الْحُمَيْدِيُّ قَالَ: ثنا سُفْيَانُ، قَالَ: ثنا زِيَادُ بْنُ سَعْدٍ، وَمُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَجْلَانَ، أَنَّهُمَا سَمِعَا عَامِرَ بْنَ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ الزُّبَيْرِ يُحَدِّثُ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، أَنَّهُ «رَأَي رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّي اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَدْعُو فِي الصَّلَاةِ هَكَذَا» وَقَبَضَ الْحُمَيْدِيُّ أَصَابِعَهُ الْأَرْبَعَةَ وَأَشَارَ بِالسَّبَّابَةِ قَالَ أَبُو عَلِيٍّ يَعْنِي بِشْرَ بْنَ مُوسَي: «أَبُو بَكْرٍ الَّذِي وَصَفَ لَنَا» ، قَالَ الْحُمَيْدِيُّ: وَقَالَ سُفْيَانُ: " وَكَانَ زِيَادُ بْنُ سَعْدٍ قَدْ حَدَّثَنِي بِأَرْبَعَةٍ سَمَاعَ ابْنِ الزُّبَيْرِ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّي اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَرَوَيْتُهُ فَنَسِيتُهُ إِلَّا هَذَا، فَقَالَ لِي زِيَادٌ: إِنَّمَا هِيَ أَرْبَعَةٌ "
‘Amir bin ‘Abdullah narrates from his father: He saw the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) performing prayer in this manner.
Imam Humaydi folded his four fingers and pointed with his index finger.
Abu ‘Ali Bishr bin Musa, the narrator, says: Imam Abu Bakr Humaydi (may Allah have mercy on him) demonstrated this in front of us.
Imam Humaydi says: Sufyan narrated this, and Ziyad bin Sa‘d narrated four such reports which he transmitted from Sayyiduna ‘Abdullah bin Zubair (may Allah be pleased with him), but I have mentioned only this narration. I have forgotten the rest of the narrations. Ziyad told me that there are four narrations.
