Explanation & Benefits
Shaykh Muhammad Ibrahim bin Basheer
Benefit:
Upon the birth of a child, it is appropriate to entrust an honorable person with the right to give the child a good name. Naming after the Prophets and Messengers (alayhim as-salam) is Sunnah, and the best names are "Abdullah" and "Abdur-Rahman." Regrettably, bad names have become common nowadays, which requires special attention, and efforts should be made to correct this.
