Sufyan says: Amr bin Dinar had previously narrated this report from Abu Salih on the authority of Qaqa’ bin Hakim. When I met Suhail, I thought that if I ask him about this narration, perhaps he would narrate it to me from his father, and in that case, I and Amr would be equal in rank regarding this narration. I asked him about this narration, so Suhail said: I heard this narration from the person from whom my father heard it; he narrated it to me from ‘Ata bin Yazid.
