Sayyiduna Abu Sarihah Ghafari (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: Once, the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) looked towards us from his upper chamber while we were discussing the Day of Judgment. He (peace be upon him) asked: "What are you talking about?" We replied: The Day of Judgment. The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: "The Day of Judgment will not come until ten signs appear: the Dajjal, the smoke, the beast of the earth, the rising of the sun from the west, the descent of Sayyiduna Isa son of Maryam (peace be upon him), the emergence of Gog and Magog, and three sinkings of the earth—one in the west, one in the east, and one in the Arabian Peninsula. After all these, a fire will emerge which will come out from 'Aden' (the narrator is in doubt, perhaps these are the words) or from the pit of 'Aden', and it will drive the people to the place of gathering (Mahshar)."
Explanation & Benefits
Shaykh Muhammad Ibrahim bin Basheer
Benefit:
The signs of the Day of Judgment are numerous; in this hadith, the major signs are mentioned. Our belief is that these signs are true. Many books have been written regarding these signs. One such book is "When the World Will Be Shattered to Pieces." The details of each and every sign can be found in this book.

Hadith Commentary:
Benefits and Issues:
This hadith establishes that a person entering the state of ihram for Hajj or Umrah may stipulate the condition that if he falls ill along the way, he will exit the state of ihram (ihram) at the place where he becomes ill.
This is the view of Imam Shafi'i rahimahullah, Imam Ahmad rahimahullah, and the hadith scholars (muhaddithin).
According to Imam Abu Hanifah rahimahullah and Imam Malik rahimahullah, making such a condition is not permissible.
They argue that this concession was specific only to Hazrat Duba'ah radi Allahu anha, but there is no evidence for such a restriction.
The denial by Allamah Saeedi of this hadith being present in Sahih al-Bukhari is not correct.
This hadith is found in the Book of Marriage, under the chapter "Compatibility in Religion" (Kitab al-Nikah, Bab al-Akfa’ fi al-Din).

Benefits and Issues:
➊ The ahadith regarding Dabbat al-Ard are coming in Chapter 31; the ahadith about the sun rising from the west are in Chapter 32; and the ahadith concerning the appearance of the Dajjal, the descent of ‘Isa ibn Maryam (alayhis salam), and Gog and Magog (Ya’juj wa Ma’juj) are in Chapter 33.
➋ The rising of the sun from the west is a sign that the system of the world is coming to an end. Now the stages of the Day of Resurrection (Qiyamah) are beginning, which are related to the Hereafter, and therefore repentance (tawbah) at that time will not be accepted, just as repentance is not accepted when the angels become visible at the time of death.
➌ The tribulation (fitnah) of the Dajjal is a very great tribulation. He will be the leader of the Jews and will be a cause of misguidance for the Muslims.
➍ The Jews denied the true Messiah (‘Isa ibn Maryam alayhis salam) because he did not promise the dominance of the Jews in the world. During the days of the Dajjal, the Jews will temporarily attain progress and dominance.
➎ Some sects who call themselves Muslims are also awaiting the appearance of the Hidden Imam. It is possible that, upon witnessing the tricks of the Dajjal, they too may accept him as their Imam.
