Zahdam al-Jarmi narrates: We were present with Sayyiduna Abu Musa al-Ash'ari (may Allah be pleased with him). Chicken meat was brought there, and a man withdrew. He did not take part in eating. Sayyiduna Abu Musa al-Ash'ari (may Allah be pleased with him) invited him, so he said: I have seen it eating filth, therefore I consider it impure. Sayyiduna Abu Musa al-Ash'ari (may Allah be pleased with him) said: I have seen the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) eating it.
