Hadith 768
768 - حَدَّثَنَا الْحُمَيْدِيُّ قَالَ: ثنا سُفْيَانُ، قَالَ: ثنا عَمْرُو بْنُ دِينَارٍ، قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنِي عَتَّابُ بْنُ حُنَيْنٍ، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ أَبَا سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيَّ، يَقُولُ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّي اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: " لَوْ حَبَسَ اللَّهُ الْقَطْرَ عَنِ النَّاسِ سَبْعَ سِنِينَ، ثُمَّ أَرْسَلَهُ، لَأَصْبَحَتْ طَائِفَةٌ مِنْهُمْ بِهِ كَافِرِينَ، يَقُولُونَ: مُطِرْنَا بِنَوْءِ كَذَا وَكَذَا، أَوْ مُطِرْنَا بِنَوْءِ الْمِجْدَحِ "
Sayyiduna Abu Sa‘id Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: “If Allah Almighty does not send down rain upon the people for seven years, and then sends down rain, even then a group among those people will deny Allah Almighty and say that it rained upon us because of such-and-such star, and it rained upon us because of the star Majdah.”
