Sayyiduna Abu Sa'id Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: I brought one of my slave girls and stood in the market of Banu Qaynuqa', so that I could sell this slave girl. A Jew came to me and said: O Sayyiduna Abu Sa'id Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him)! Why is this girl here? I replied: Your children are present, so I said: I used to practice 'azl (withdrawal) with her. He said: This is a false oath of burying alive. I went to the service of the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him). I mentioned this to the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him). He (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "The Jews have said wrong, however, if you do not do so, there is no harm upon you."

Explanation & Benefits
Shaykh Muhammad Ibrahim bin Basheer
Benefit: From this hadith, it is established that coitus interruptus (azl) is permissible. Furthermore, the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam refuted the false belief of the Jews. The Jews held the view that conception could not occur with coitus interruptus, which was incorrect. It is thus understood that the doubts and misconceptions of the deviant sects should be refuted.
