Sayyiduna Abu Sa'id Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said this from the pulpit: "What I fear most for you is that Allah the Exalted will make the vegetation of the earth and the adornments and beauties of the world manifest for you." Sayyiduna Abu Sa'id Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: A man stood up and said: O Messenger of Allah! Will good bring about evil? He asked this three times. The narrator says: The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) remained silent, until we felt that revelation was being sent down upon him. When revelation would descend upon the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), his breath would become heavy and he would perspire. When this state of his ended, he asked: Where is the questioner? He replied: O Messenger of Allah! I am here. I only intended good. The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Good only brings about good. Indeed, good only brings about good. Indeed, good only brings about good. However, the world is lush and sweet. Whatever spring causes to grow, as a result, some animals die due to overeating and some come close to death. However, the one who eats the greenery is different, for he eats it, his sides swell, he comes into the sun, there he defecates and urinates, then returns, eats again, then departs and chews the cud. So whoever acquires wealth along with its due right, there is blessing placed in that wealth for him. And whoever acquires wealth unjustly, there is no blessing placed in that wealth for him. And his example is like that person who, despite eating, does not become satiated. And the upper hand is better than the lower hand." Sufyan says: Whenever I went to A'mash, he would repeatedly request me to narrate this hadith to him.
