74 - حَدَّثَنَا الْحُمَيْدِيُّ، ثنا سُفْيَانُ، ثنا الْعَلَاءُ بْنُ أَبِي الْعَبَّاسِ أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ أَبَا الطُّفَيْلِ يُحَدِّثُ عَنْ بَكْرِ بْنِ قَرْوَاشٍ، عَنْ سَعْدِ بْنِ أَبِي وَقَّاصٍ قَالَ: ذَكَرَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّي اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ذَا الثُّدَيَّةِ فَقَالَ: «شَيْطَانُ الرَّدْهَةِ رَاعِي الْجَبَلِ أَوْ رَاعٍ لِلْجَبَلِ يَحْتَدِرُهُ رَجُلٌ مِنْ بَجِيلَةَ يُقَالَ لَهُ الْأَشْهَبُ أَوِ ابْنُ الْأَشْهَبِ عَلَامَةٌ فِي قَوْمٍ ظَلَمَةٍ» قَالَ سُفْيَانُ فَأَخْبَرَنِي عَمَّارٌ الدُّهْنِيُّ أَنَّهُ جَاءَ بِهِ رَجُلٌ مِنْهُمْ يُقَالُ لَهُ الْأَشْهَبُ أَوِ ابْنُ الْأَشْهَبِ
Sayyiduna Sa’d bin Abi Waqqas (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), mentioning Dhu’t-Tad, said: He is the devil of Ruhha, who will be a shepherd of horses (the narrator is unsure, perhaps these are the words), he will be grazing animals on the mountains. A man from the Bajilah tribe will pull him up and bring him down; his name will be Ashhab. (The narrator is unsure, perhaps these are the words) He will be Ibn Ashhab; he will be a sign among a dark people. Sufyan says: ‘Ammar Ruhani told me this, he brought with him a man from his tribe whose name was Ashhab. (The narrator is unsure, perhaps these are the words) He was Ibn Ashhab.
