Hadith 716

716 - حَدَّثَنَا الْحُمَيْدِيُّ قَالَ: ثنا سُفْيَانُ، قَالَ: ثنا أَيُّوبُ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّي اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «لَا يُسَافَرُ بِالْقُرْآنِ إِلَي أَرْضِ الْعَدُوِّ، لَا يَنَالُهُ الْعَدُوُّ»

Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates: The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Do not travel with the Qur'an to the land of the enemy, lest the enemy should get hold of it (and disrespect it)."
