Salim bin Abdullah narrates from his father that the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said: "If a slave is owned by two men and one of them frees his share, then if that person is well-off, the slave should be valued fairly without any increase or decrease, and then that person should pay his partner the price of his share and set the slave (completely) free." Sufyan says: 'Amr is doubtful about the wording of this narration being exactly like this.
