Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them) narrates: Sayyiduna Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) asked the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him): Can a person sleep in a state of janabah (major ritual impurity)? The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Yes. When he performs wudu (ablution), he may sleep, and if he wishes, he may also eat something."
