Muslim bin Yanaq narrates: I was with Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) at the door of Abdullah bin Khalid’s house when a young man passed by who had let his lower garment hang down. Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) said to him: “Raise your lower garment, for I heard the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) say: ‘Allah Almighty does not look with mercy at the person who lets his clothes hang out of pride.’”
