Hadith 60

Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Zubair (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: Sayyiduna Zubair (may Allah be pleased with him) stated this, when this verse was revealed: "Then surely, on the Day of Resurrection, you will dispute with one another before your Lord." Sayyiduna Zubair (may Allah be pleased with him) submitted: O Messenger of Allah! The differences that exist between us in this world, will there be differences between us again afterwards? The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "Yes!" So I submitted: Then the matter will be very severe!

Explanation & Benefits
Shaykh Muhammad Ibrahim bin Basheer
Benefit:
From this hadith, it is understood that the noble Companions (radi Allahu anhum ajma'in) used to learn the explanation (tafsir) of the Qur'an from the Noble Prophet (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam). The religion of Islam is complete in every respect. The Prophetic hadith is the explanation and elucidation of the Noble Qur'an; to attempt to understand the Qur'an without the blessed hadith is a great misguidance. «أطيــعـوا الـرسـول » also demands that, just as the Noble Qur'an, the hadith of the Messenger (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam) also possesses its own independent authority and status. Whoever denies the hadith is, in reality, a denier of the Qur'an, because it is the hadith itself that has informed us that this is the Qur'an.
