Abu Barzah narrates: I passed by Sayyiduna Abu Bakr Siddiq (may Allah be pleased with him) while he was expressing anger at one of his companions. I asked: O Caliph of the Messenger of Allah! Who is this person at whom you are expressing anger? Sayyiduna Abu Bakr Siddiq (may Allah be pleased with him) asked: Why are you asking about him? I replied: I will strike his neck. The narrator says: By Allah! What I said removed the anger of Sayyiduna Abu Bakr Siddiq (may Allah be pleased with him), then he said: After Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him), it is not appropriate for anyone (that someone should be killed because of his anger).
