Hadith 58
58 - حَدَّثَنَا الْحُمَيْدِيُّ، ثنا يَحْيَي بْنُ عِيسَي، ثنا الْأَعْمَشُ، ثنا عَدِيُّ بْنُ ثَابِتٍ، عَنْ زِرِّ بْنِ حُبَيْشٍ قَالَ: قَالَ عَلِيُّ بْنُ أَبِي طَالِبٍ «لَقَدْ عَهِدَ إِلَيَّ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّي اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ الْأُمِّيُّ أَنَّهُ لَا يُحِبُّكَ إِلَّا مُؤْمِنٌ، وَلَا يُبْغِضُكَ إِلَّا مُنَافِقٌ»
Sayyiduna Ali bin Abi Talib (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: "The 'Unlettered Prophet' took a covenant from me that only a believer will love you and only a hypocrite will harbor hatred against you."
