577 - حَدَّثَنَا الْحُمَيْدِيُّ قَالَ: ثنا سُفْيَانُ قَالَ: ثنا مِسْعَرٌ، عَنِ الْوَلِيدِ بْنِ سَرِيعٍ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ حُرَيْثٍ قَالَ: " كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّي اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقْرَأُ فِي الصُّبْحِ ﴿ وَاللَّيْلِ إِذَا عَسْعَسَ﴾ "
Sayyiduna Amr bin Hurayth (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: I heard the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) reciting «وَاللَّيْلِ إِذَا عَسْعَسَ» (Surah Takwir: 17) in the Fajr prayer.

952. Commentary: It is Sunnah to occasionally recite this surah in the morning prayer. This surah presents a complete depiction of the terrifying scenes of the Day of Judgment. The Messenger of Allah (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam) said: "Surah Hud, Surah Waqi'ah, and «﴿إِذَا الشَّمْسُ كُوِّرَتْ﴾» have made me old." [جامع الترمذي ، تفسیر القرآن ، حدیث : 3297]
