Abu Juwayriyah al-Jurmi reports: I asked Sayyiduna Abdullah ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) while he was sitting with his back leaned against the Ka'bah. I asked him about Baadhq (a specific type of wine): By Allah, I was the first person to ask him this question, so he said: Sayyiduna Muhammad (peace be upon him) has already given a verdict regarding Baadhq: Whatever intoxicates is forbidden.
