The narrator named Amr says: Sheikh Abu Sha’tha informed us that he heard Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) stating: The Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) contracted marriage while in the state of Ihram. Then Abu Sha’tha asked: O Amr! In your opinion, which noble wife was she? I replied: People say that she was Sayyida Maymunah (may Allah be pleased with her). So Abu Sha’tha said: Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) informed me that when the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) contracted marriage, he was in the state of Ihram at that time.
