Abdullah bin Sakhbara Azdi narrates: Some people were present with Sayyiduna Ali bin Abi Talib (may Allah be pleased with him). A funeral passed by them, so the people stood up for it. Sayyiduna Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) asked: What is this practice? The people replied: Sayyiduna Abu Musa al-Ash'ari (may Allah be pleased with him) commands this. So Sayyiduna Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) said: The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) stood up once for this (funeral). He (peace be upon him) did not do this act again.
