Hadith 483

483 - حَدَّثَنَا الْحُمَيْدِيُّ قَالَ: ثنا سُفْيَانُ قَالَ: ثنا أَيُّوبُ السَّخْتِيَانِيُّ قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ عِكْرِمَةَ يَقُولُ: سَمِعْتُ ابْنَ عَبَّاسٍ يَقُولُ: «رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّي اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَسْجُدُ فِي ص وَلَيْسَتْ مِنْ عَزَايِمِ السُّجُودِ»

Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates: I saw the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) performing the prostration of recitation in Surah Sad, however, it is not an obligatory prostration.
