457 - حَدَّثَنَا الْحُمَيْدِيُّ قَالَ: ثنا سُفْيَانُ قَالَ: ثنا مَنْصُورٌ، عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ يَزِيدَ، عَنْ عَلْقَمَةَ، عَنْ أَبِي مَسْعُودٍ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّي اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: «مَنْ قَرَأَ بِالْآيَتَيْنِ مِنْ آخِرِ سُورَةِ الْبَقَرَةِ فِي لَيْلَةٍ كَفَتَاهُ» قَالَ عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ يَزِيدَ: ثُمَّ لَقْيتُ أَبَا مَسْعُودٍ فِي الطَّوَافِ فَسَأَلْتُهُ عَنْهُ فَحَدَّثَنِي أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّي اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: «مَنْ قَرَأَ بِالْآيَتَيْنِ مِنْ آخِرِ سُورَةِ الْبَقَرَةِ فِي لَيْلَةٍ كَفَتَاهُ»
Sayyiduna Abu Mas’ud Ansari (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates this statement of the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him): “Whoever recites the last two verses of Surah Al-Baqarah at night, these two will suffice for him.” The narrator named Abdur Rahman bin Yazid says: Later, I met Sayyiduna Abu Mas’ud Ansari (may Allah be pleased with him) during Tawaf and I asked him about this narration, so he told me this: The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: “Whoever recites the last two verses of Surah Al-Baqarah at night, these two will suffice for him.”
