Hadith 449
449 - حَدَّثَنَا الْحُمَيْدِيُّ قَالَ: ثنا سُفْيَانُ قَالَ: ثنا عَبْدُ الْمَلِكِ بْنُ عُمَيْرٍ، عَنْ رِبْعِيِّ بْنِ حِرَاشٍ، عَنْ حُذَيْفَةَ بْنِ الْيَمَانِ " أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّي اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِذَا أَرَادَ أَنْ يَنَامَ وَضَعَ يَدَهُ تَحْتَ رَأْسِهِ ثُمَّ قَالَ: «اللَّهُمَّ قِنِي عَذَابَكَ يَوْمَ تَجْمَعُ أَوْ تَبْعَثُ عِبَادَكَ»
Sayyiduna Hudhayfah bin Yaman (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: When the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) intended to sleep, he would place his blessed hand under his head, then recite: "O Allah! Protect me from Your punishment on the Day when You will gather (the narrator is unsure, perhaps the words are) resurrect Your servants."
