Sayyiduna Suwaid bin Nu’man (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: We set out towards Khaybar with the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him). When we reached the place of Sahba and there remained a distance of one stage between us and them, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) asked for provisions of the journey. Sattu (parched barley meal) was presented to him. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) chewed it, and we also chewed it with him. Then the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) rinsed his mouth, and we also rinsed our mouths with him. Then the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) led us in the Maghrib prayer, and we performed the prayer behind him. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) did not perform ablution again.
