The wife of Abdullah bin Abu Qatadah narrates: Sayyiduna Abu Qatadah Ansari (may Allah be pleased with him) came to her, and he wanted to perform ablution at her place, so she poured her vessel towards a cat, and the cat drank water from it. We asked him about the leftover water of the cat, so he informed us: The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) has told us that it is not impure. The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "It is one of those animals that move about among you in your homes."
