419 - حَدَّثَنَا الْحُمَيْدِيُّ قَالَ: ثنا سُفْيَانُ قَالَ: ثنا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ أَبِي بَكْرِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَمْرِو بْنِ حَزْمٍ أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ عَبَّادَ بْنَ تَمِيمٍ يُحَدِّثُ عَنْ عَمِّهِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ زَيْدٍ قَالَ: «خَرَجَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّي اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِلَي الْمُصَلَّي يَسْتَسْقِي فَحَوَّلَ رِدَاءَهُ، وَاسْتَقْبَلَ الْقِبْلَةَ وَصَلَّي رَكْعَتَيْنِ»
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Zaid (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) went to the Eid ground to perform the prayer for rain (Salat al-Istisqa). He turned his cloak inside out, faced the Qiblah, and performed two units of prayer.
