398 - حَدَّثَنَا الْحُمَيْدِيُّ قَالَ: ثنا سُفْيَانُ قَالَ: ثنا عَمْرُو بْنُ دِينَارٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي مُلَيْكَةَ، عَنْ يَعْلَي بْنِ مُمَلَّكٍ، عَنْ أُمِّ الدَّرْدَاءِ، عَنْ أَبِي الدَّرْدَاءِ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّي اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: «إِنَّ أَثْقَلَ شَيْءٍ فِي الْمِيزَانِ خُلُقٌ حَسَنٌ، وَإِنَّ اللَّهَ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ يُبْغِضُ الْفَاحِشَ الْبَذِئَ»
Sayyida Umm Darda’ (may Allah be pleased with her) narrates from Sayyiduna Abu Darda’ (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) said: “The heaviest thing in the scale is good character, and Allah Almighty dislikes the foul-mouthed person with bad character.”
