Hadith 361
361 - حَدَّثَنَا الْحُمَيْدِيُّ قَالَ: ثنا سُفْيَانُ قَالَ: ثنا يَزِيدُ بْنُ أَبِي زِيَادٍ أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ سُلَيْمَانَ بْنَ عَمْرِو بْنِ الْأَحْوَصِ يُحَدِّثُ عَنْ أُمِّهِ قَالَتْ: رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّي اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَرْمِي الْجَمْرَةَ مِنْ بَطْنِ الْوَادِي وَهُوَ عَلَي بَغْلَةٍ وَهُوَ يَقُولُ: «أَيُّهَا النَّاسُ عَلَيْكُمُ السَّكِينَةَ لَا يَقْتُلُ بَعْضُكُمْ بَعْضًا، وَعَلَيْكُمْ مِثْلَ حَصَي الْخَذْفِ»
Sulaiman bin Amruwah narrates from his mother: I saw the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) throwing pebbles at the Jamrah from the bottom of the valley. He (peace be upon him) was riding a mule and was saying: "O people! Remain calm, do not cause hardship to one another, and it is obligatory upon you to use such (small) pebbles that can be held in a pinch."
