Ma'bad bin Ka'b narrates from his mother: She is the woman who has prayed facing both Qiblahs. She narrates: I heard the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) forbidding the use of two mixed things, that is, preparing nabidh by mixing dates and raisins. The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: "Prepare nabidh from each of them separately."

Explanation & Benefits
Shaykh Muhammad Ibrahim bin Basheer
Benefit:
How complete a religion Islam is, that it has closed all backdoors. Both dates and raisins have a naturally hot temperament. When both are combined in water, more fermentation will occur; as a result, it will quickly take the form of wine and intoxication. For this reason, the Shariah has emphasized making nabidh (fermented drink) from each of them separately, and has prohibited making nabidh by combining both together.
