Sayyida Asma bint Umais (may Allah be pleased with her) narrates: She said, "O Messenger of Allah! The children of Sayyiduna Ja'far (may Allah be pleased with him) are affected by the evil eye, so should I perform ruqyah (spiritual healing) for them?" The Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "Yes! If anything could precede destiny, the evil eye would precede it."
