314 - حَدَّثَنَا الْحُمَيْدِيُّ قَالَ: ثنا سُفْيَانُ قَالَ: ثنا الزُّهْرِيُّ قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنِي عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ ابْنَ عَبَّاسٍ يُحَدِّثُ عَنْ مَيْمُونَةَ أَنَّ فَأْرَةً وَقَعَتْ فِي سَمْنٍ فَمَاتَتْ، فَسُئِلَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّي اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَنْهَا، فَقَالَ: «أَلْقُوهَا وَمَا حَوْلَهَا وَكُلُوهُ» قَالَ أَبُو بَكْرٍ: فَقِيلَ لِسُفْيَانَ فَإِنَّ مَعْمَرًا يُحَدِّثُهُ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ، عَنْ سَعِيدٍ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ سُفْيَانُ: مَا سَمِعْتُ الزُّهْرِيَّ يُحَدِّثُهُ إِلَّا عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، عَنْ مَيْمُونَةَ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّي اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَلَقَدْ سَمِعْتُهُ مِنْهُ مِرَارًا

Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates from Sayyidah Maymunah (may Allah be pleased with her): A mouse fell into ghee and died. The Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) was asked about this. He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: “Throw it and the (solidified) ghee around it away, and eat (the rest that remains).”

Imam Humaydi (may Allah have mercy on him) says: Sufyan was told: Ma‘mar has narrated this report from Zuhri, from Sa‘id, from Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him). So Sufyan replied: I heard Zuhri narrate it in this way, that this narration is from ‘Ubaydullah, from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both), from Sayyidah Maymunah (may Allah be pleased with her), and I have heard this narration from him several times.
