Hadith 305
305 - حَدَّثَنَا الْحُمَيْدِيُّ قَالَ: ثنا فُضَيلُ بْنُ عِيَاضٍ، عَنْ مَنْصُورٍ، عَنِ الشَّعْبِيِّ، عَنْ أُمِّ سَلَمَةَ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّي اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَانَ إِذَا خَرَجَ مِنْ بَيْتِهِ قَالَ: «اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَعُوذُ بِكَ أَنْ أَزِلَّ، أَوْ أَضِلَّ، أَوْ أَظْلِمَ، أَوْ أُظْلَمَ، أَوْ أَجْهَلَ، أَوْ يُجْهَلَ عَلَيَّ»
Umm al-Mu’minin Sayyida Umm Salamah (may Allah be pleased with her) narrates: Whenever the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) would leave the house, he would recite: “O Allah, I seek refuge with You lest I slip, or be led astray, or I do wrong, or wrong is done to me, or I behave ignorantly, or ignorance is shown to me.”
