A man named Salamah, who was from the descendants of Sayyidah Umm Salamah (may Allah be pleased with her), narrates: Hazrat Zubair bin Al-Awwam (may Allah be pleased with him) had a dispute with a man. That man brought his case to the service of the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him), so the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) gave a verdict in favor of Hazrat Zubair (may Allah be pleased with him). The man said: "You have given this verdict in his favor because he is your cousin." So Allah the Exalted revealed this verse: "But no, by your Lord, they will not [truly] believe until they make you, [O Muhammad], judge concerning that over which they dispute among themselves and then find within themselves no discomfort from what you have judged and submit in [full, willing] submission." (4-An-Nisa:65)
