293 - حَدَّثَنَا الْحُمَيْدِيُّ قَالَ: ثنا سُفْيَانُ قَالَ: ثنا ابْنُ أَبِي نَجِيحٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ عُبَيْدِ بْنِ عُمَيْرٍ، عَنْ أُمِّ سَلَمَةَ أَنَّهَا قَالَتْ: لَمَّا مَاتَ أَبُو سَلَمَةَ قُلْتُ: غَرِيبٌ وَبِأَرْضِ غُرْبَةٍ لَأَبْكِيَنَّهُ يُحَدَّثُ عَنْهُ قَالَتْ: فَتَهَيَّأْتُ لِلْبُكَاءِ، وَجَاءَتِ امْرَأَةٌ مِنَ الصَّعِيدِ تُرِيدُ أَنْ تُسْعِدَنِي، فَلَمَّا رَآهَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّي اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ تَلَقَّاهَا وَقَالَ: «تُرِيدِينَ أَنْ تُدْخِلِي الشَّيْطَانَ بَيْتًا قَدْ أَخْرَجَهُ اللَّهُ مِنْهُ، أَتُرِيدِينَ أَنْ تُدْخِلِي الشَّيْطَانَ بَيْتًا قَدْ أَخْرَجَهُ اللَّهُ مِنْهُ» قَالَتْ أُمُّ سَلَمَةَ: فَتَرَكْتُ الْبُكَاءَ فَلَمْ أَبْكِ
Mother of the Believers, Lady Umm Salamah (may Allah be pleased with her) narrates: When Sayyiduna Abu Salamah (may Allah be pleased with him) passed away, I said: He was a stranger to this land and has died in a state of being away from his homeland. I will weep for him in such a way that he will be remembered. Mother of the Believers, Lady Umm Salamah (may Allah be pleased with her) narrates: I firmly resolved to weep, so a woman came to me from the open field; she also wanted to join me in weeping. When the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) saw her, he met her and said: "Do you want to let Satan enter this house from which Allah has expelled him? Do you want to let Satan enter this house from which Allah has expelled him?" Mother of the Believers, Lady Umm Salamah (may Allah be pleased with her) narrates: So I abandoned weeping, and then I did not weep.
