Umm al-Mu'mineen Sayyida Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) narrates: A man presented himself before the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) and said: My mother has passed away, and I think that if she had the opportunity to speak, she would have instructed to give charity. If I give charity on her behalf, will she receive the reward? The Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Yes." Here, the narrator named Sufyan has mentioned that people remembered a word from Hisham which I could not remember; that man had said: My mother passed away suddenly, but I do not remember this word from Hisham. Ayub Sakhtiyani has informed me about this word from Hisham.
