Umm al-Mu'mineen Sayyidah Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) narrates: Hamzah bin Amr Aslami, who used to observe continuous voluntary fasts, asked: O Messenger of Allah! I observe continuous fasts, so should I fast during travel as well? The Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "If you wish, then fast; and if you wish, then do not fast."
