Sayyidah Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) narrates: The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) used to observe i'tikaf in the mosque. (Sometimes) he (peace be upon him) would extend his blessed head towards me, and I would wash it, even though I was in the state of menstruation at that time.
