Hadith 166

Mother of the Believers, Lady Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) narrates: The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) would give me a bone while I was in the state of menstruation, and I would suck it, then the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) would take it and place his mouth exactly where I had placed my mouth.

Explanation & Benefits
Shaykh Muhammad Ibrahim bin Basheer
Benefit:
It is established from this hadith that the leftover (food or drink) of a menstruating woman (ha’idhah) is pure, and that one should not harbor aversion towards one’s wife during her menstrual period. Rather, one should treat one’s wife with gentleness in all matters. Islam has granted women such great respect; for this, women should be grateful to Allah Ta’ala.
