Yahya bin Jamrah narrates: Some people came to visit Sayyiduna Khabbab (may Allah be pleased with him) during his illness. They said: O Abu Abdullah! Congratulations to you, you will meet the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) at the Pond. He replied: How can that be possible in the presence of this and this? He said this while pointing towards his building, the roof of his house, and its two sides, meaning: How can it be possible in the presence of this? While the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) had said to us: "For any one of you, only as much of the world is sufficient as is the provision of a rider for his journey."

Explanation & Benefits
Shaykh Muhammad Ibrahim bin Basheer
Benefit: It is not appropriate for a person to become engrossed in the luxuries of the world. A person should live life like a traveler; the amount of provisions a traveler carries should be considered sufficient for everyone. The greatest tribulation of the present era is greed and selfishness. Both of these are dependent on money, and money is under the control of the Jews. The solution to ending this is to instill the love of Allah Ta'ala within people, to create concern for the Hereafter, and to develop the qualities of contentment (qana‘ah) and altruism (ithar). The Noble Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam said: « تُـحـبُللنّاس ما تحب لنفسك وتكره للناس ما تكره لنفسك » “Love for people what you love for yourself, and dislike for them what you dislike for yourself.” When people develop contentment (qana‘ah), they will distance themselves from money, make do with little, and as a result, they will rebel against the IMF, World Bank, and ISB, who control the world’s wealth, and will be able to safeguard themselves from their policies.
