Narration on Praying Between Two Pillars Inside the Kaaba

Hadith 149

149 - حَدَّثَنَا الْحُمَيْدِيُّ، ثنا سُفْيَانُ قَالَ: ثنا أَيُّوبُ السِّخْتِيَانِيُّ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ قَالَ: قُلْتُ لِبلَالٍ أَيْنَ صَلَّي فِي الْبَيْتِ؟ فَقَالَ «بَيْنَ الْعَمُودَيْنِ الْمُقَدَّمَيْنِ» وَنَسِيتُ أَنْ أَسْأَلَهُ كَمْ صَلَّي؟

Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates: I asked Sayyiduna Bilal (may Allah be pleased with him): Where did the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) pray inside the Ka'bah? He replied: Between the two front pillars. Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) says: I forgot to ask how many rak'ahs the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) had performed.
