Hadith 140

Sayyiduna Abu Dharr Ghifari (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: I presented myself before the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and I heard him saying: "By the Lord of the Ka'bah! They are the lowest people." I asked: O Messenger of Allah! Who are those people? The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Those who possess wealth and riches, except for the one who says: 'From my wealth (this much, this much),' meaning he spends it in the way of Allah, and such people are few."

Explanation & Benefits
Shaykh Muhammad Ibrahim bin Basheer
Benefit:
Wealthy people who are miserly are unfortunate and in a state of lowliness. However, those wealthy individuals who spend in the path of Allah, their rank and status are very high. And one of the signs of the believers has been mentioned as that they spend (in charity). May Allah grant us the ability to spend our wealth in His path. Ameen.
