Instruction to Make More Broth and Care for Neighbors
Hadith 139
139 - حَدَّثَنَا الْحُمَيْدِيُّ، عَبْدُ الْعَزِيزِ بْنُ عَبْدِ الصَّمَدِ الْعَمِّيُّ قَالَ: ثنا أَبُو عِمْرَانَ الْجَوْنِيُّ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ الصَّامِتِ، عَنْ أَبِي ذَرٍّ قَالَ: قَالَ لِي رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّي اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «يَا أَبَا ذَرٍّ إِذَا طَبَخْتَ فَأَكْثِرِ الْمَرَقَةَ، وَتَعَاهَدْ جِيرَانَكَ أَوِ اقْسِمْ فِي جِيرَانِكَ»
Sayyiduna Abu Dharr al-Ghifari (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said to me: "O Abu Dharr! When you cook a stew, make its broth plentiful and be mindful of your neighbor." (The narrator is in doubt, perhaps these are the words:) "Also give some to your neighbor."
