1334 - حَدَّثَنَا الْحُمَيْدِيُّ قَالَ: ثنا سُفْيَانُ، ثنا الْأَسْوَدُ بْنُ قَيْسٍ، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ نُبَيْحًا الْعَنَزِيَّ، يَقُولُ: سَمِعْتُ جَابِرَ بْنَ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، يَقُولُ: «نَهَي رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّي اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنْ نَطْرُقَ النِّسَاءَ لَيْلًا» ثُمَّ طَرَقْنَاهُنَّ بَعْدُ
Sayyiduna Jabir bin Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) forbade that you (when returning from a long journey) go to your homes at night. (The narrator says:) But after that, we started doing so.
