Hadith 1333
1333 - حَدَّثَنَا الْحُمَيْدِيُّ قَالَ: ثنا سُفْيَانُ، قَالَ: ثنا مُجَالِدُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ، عَنِ الشَّعْبِيِّ، عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّي اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، قَالَ: «رَأَيْتُنِي الْبَارِحَةَ كَأَنَّ رَجُلًا أَلْقَمَنِي كُتْلَةَ تَمْرٍ، فَعَجَمْتُهَا، فَوَجَدْتُ فِيهَا نَوَاةً، فَآذَتْنِي فَلَفِظْتُهَا، ثُمَّ أَلْقَمَنِي كُتْلَةً، فَمِثْلُ ذَلِكَ، ثُمَّ أُخْرَي، فَمِثْلُ ذَلِكَ» ، فَقَالَ أَبُو بَكْرٍ الصِّدِّيقُ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ: يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ، دَعْنِي أَعْبُرْهَا، قَالَ: «اعْبُرْهَا» ، قَالَ: هُوَ الْجَيْشُ الَّذِي بَعَثْتَ يُسْلِمُهُمُ اللَّهُ، وَيَغْنِمُهُمُ اللَّهُ، ثُمَّ يَلْقَوْنَ رَجُلًا، فَيُنْشِدُهُمْ ذِمَّتَكَ، فَيَدَعُونَهُ، ثُمَّ يَلْقَوْنَ آخَرَ، فَيُنْشِدُهُمْ ذِمَّتَكَ، فَيَدَعُونَهُ، ثُمَّ يَلْقَوْنَ آخَرَ، فَيُنْشِدُهُمْ ذِمَّتَكَ، فَيَدَعُونَهُ، فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّي اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «كَذَلِكَ قَالَ الْمَلَكُ يَا أَبَا بَكْرٍ»
Sayyiduna Jabir bin Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Last night I saw in a dream that a man put a piece of date in my mouth. I chewed it and found a pit in it which caused me discomfort, so I spat it out. Then he put another date in my mouth, and the same happened. Then he put another, and the same happened again." Sayyiduna Abu Bakr Siddiq (may Allah be pleased with him) said: O Messenger of Allah! Allow me to interpret it. The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "You may interpret it." So he said: This refers to the army which you (peace and blessings be upon him) dispatched. Allah Almighty granted them safety and also granted them spoils of war. Then the people met a man, and that man invoked your (peace and blessings be upon him) protection, so they let him go. Then they met another man, and he also invoked your protection, so they let him go as well. Then they met another man, and he too invoked your protection, so they let him go as well. The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "O Abu Bakr! The angel has explained it in the same way."
