Amr bin Maymun narrates: I heard Sayyiduna Abu Dharr Ghifari (may Allah be pleased with him) saying: I was walking behind the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), and he said to me: "O Abu Dharr! Shall I not guide you to a treasure from the treasures of Paradise?" I said: O Messenger of Allah! Yes, indeed. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "It is this «لا حول ولا قوة إلا بالله» Nothing can happen without the help of Allah."

Explanation & Benefits
Shaykh Muhammad Ibrahim bin Basheer
Benefit:
Subhan Allah! How beautiful is Islam, that such a small act has been declared a treasure from Paradise. Therefore, even a small act should not be considered insignificant and abandoned. Here, as a benefit, it is presented that in response to the adhan, «لا حول ولا قوة الا بالله» is said, and the rest of the words of the adhan are repeated in response. One reason for this is that in «حي على الصلاة», there is an invitation towards coming to prayer, from which Shaytan tries to prevent, saying: O human! Do not pray. To reject Shaytan’s false policy, it is said «لا حول ولا قوة الا بالله», meaning: O Allah! Only You can grant the ability to perform the prayer.
