1297 - حَدَّثَنَا الْحُمَيْدِيُّ قَالَ: ثنا سُفْيَانُ، قَالَ: ثنا عَمْرُو بْنُ دِينَارٍ، عَنْ عَطَاءِ بْنِ أَبِي رَبَاحٍ، عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، قَالَ: «كُنَّا نَتَزَوَّدُ لُحُومَ الْهَدْيِ عَلَي عَهْدِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّي اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِلَي الْمَدِينَةِ»
Sayyiduna Jabir bin Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that during the blessed time of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), we used to use the meat of the sacrificial animal as provisions for the journey until we reached Madinah Munawwarah.
