Sayyiduna Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) had cupping done. A slave from one of the Ansar tribes performed cupping for the Prophet (peace be upon him). The name of that tribe was "Banu Bayadah" and the name of that person was Abu Taybah. The Prophet (peace be upon him) gave him one sa‘ or two sa‘, one mudd or two mudd (as compensation), and the Prophet (peace be upon him) spoke to his masters, so they reduced the obligatory payment upon him, that is, they reduced the tax (kharaj) due from him.
